The egyptian sphinx
A sphinx has a body of a lion crouching down and a head like a human. The head has a nemes on top just like the pharaohs. The head is shaped like the pharaohs that is inside the pyramid. The pyramids were built to keep the pharaohs or kings safe to live in another life.The egyptians believed that the pharaohs could live on forever.
The sphinx were built to protect the pyramid from anyone who tries to enter. In a myth to enter the sphinx they would tell a riddle and if you were right they would let you enter, but if you were wrong they would kill you and let you suffer a painful death.
